What is The Hobbyist?

My name is Will and I love hobbies. I write about music, sports, and culture for my job. You can read my words at Pitchfork, GQ, Passion of the Weiss, FLOOD, Highsnobiety, Texas Monthly, and other places. I am lucky to get paid to do something I love, but work is work is work and there are many, many things I like to do when I am not working. I love golf, running, obscure fitness apparel, reading, writing fiction, watching sports, watching movies, acupuncture, yoga, pilates, and a bunch of other stuff. My vision for The Hobbyist is to speak with the coolest people I know about the things they do when they’re not doing the things that make them so cool; in other words, how they spend their free time.
